So far I've done belts; which footballers snapped up now it seems I'm dressing children tv presenters. Check these photos taken from the telly. Now I can say "As seen on Tv".

Lousy Day And All I Got!

It's another lousy day in Donny with the rain. One of the few things I've drawn is this lousy pigeon taking a Shit on a grey cube. It's like an episode of Springwatch in your living room. I'm gonna go make a brew but I'll be watching.

Pens Are Amazing

Today I've been on with a pen drawing, some quick doodles in my sketchbook and I roughed out a large but fun character in polka shorts. Rising at 6am on a damp, gloomy day in Doncaster I feel I've achieved quite a bit for a Tuesday, thankfully there's been no sleet today like yesterday. I feel like I'm really warming to the pens I'm using at the moment with the recent drawings I've been producing.

Life is Ok

Well today I had such ideas... but it's not all gone to plan..... I did have my haircut by a dude who is part of a Adam and the Ants tribute band. I spent some time looking at electrical appliances can you guess which brand by todays picture. I looked at so many it made me develop another crease on my forehead. I bumped into Terry [ Terry - the T Shirt] in the bakery and discussed Wiggins success on the track over the weekend; whilst my legs really ache after bit of biking yesterday. But hey at least its a brand new week, owt can happen!

At the time of writing it feel like it's getting colder. I'm hoping it does not snow any more this coming week; which has been mentioned I've heard.

Resolving

Today I've been resolving a large pen drawing doing the finishing touches I was getting incredibly nervous. I didn't want to muck it up. Yesterday I learnt of Lance and his retirement 2.0, I'm gonna miss that man on the Tour de france. Also today this evening I've started to read some of a biography on Michael Caine. I'll enjoy reading that and some Tintin which I keep dipping into.

Kes Country

Today I've been across to Barnsley, South Yorks to see "Street Art" at the Gallery @ The Civic on Hanson Street. It was great to see artworks by Pure Evil, Kerry Roper, Banksy, Jamie Hewlett, Jon Burgerman and more from the V&A. It's a great new gallery space which I hope to visit again. The Street Art show is worth a visit in my book its on until the 18th of March 2011. Then this aft I've visited Meadowhall [MeadowHell] on a Saturday, now I've not been to that choice destination since 2005 and I noticed some changes and different shops today. But wow I felt old walking round there.

Well yesterday and this morning and most of this week I've been working with pens. I've enjoyed episodes of "Come Dine With Me" cos it's featured some folk from Doncaster. I especially like Brian for his Donny dialogue. Meanwhile I've been reading a little Tintin with a brew or two on an evening.

Well a few days ago in Donny I overheard a splendid conversation between a group of lasses in there late teens. Far too blue to do a full write up of the topic of that conversation for this blog. Some of my readers would be too shocked. But the above is a snippet of that overheard chit chat; reet I need a brew.

Tommy Simpson

I've read today that there in talks to make a movie about South Yorkshire's very own Tommy Simpson. Even better news its one of my favourite directors Shane Meadows who is keen to tell the story of this cycling legend that hails from Harworth. This is one film I'll look forward to watching that man is a hero in my neck of the woods. He even did his interviews in french and won there hearts over. Today I've been working on some cover artwork and line dancing on my own to Dolly Partons "Working to 9-5" oh and sipping a brew or two.

Garden Visitors

I've got my hands on a copy of 22 bullets with Jean Reno at his brooding best to watch on dvd. I've been busy today with an intricate illustration today with lots of bits to resolve. I've also had plenty of visitors to the garden once again eating my offerings. Always fun to watch birds on brew breaks, I love blue tits and the wrens that have been frequenting the garden.
