Well I've done a few miles on my bike, I'm on brew number 5 at time of writing. This above readers is part of something I'm gonna produce. Any how I'm gonna make brew 6 shortly.
I have got a copy of Bradley Wiggins biography to digest with an extra chapter about this years Tour de france. How many brews will be supped while digesting this tome is anyone's guess.
After the introduction of Cool Cat meet his mate. This afternoon I've got half an idea for a very detailed bit of work. I'm still working it out in my brain.
Cool Cat says "If the milk turns sour he ain't the pussy to drink it". Or is that dialogue from a film. But this Donny Cool Cat needs a brew a refreshing beverage.
I admit readers I'm not very good at cooking; I wanted to share that with you readers in the tree of trust on this September morning. I'm good at making a brew though!
At the time of writing this, I'm starving there's a sarnie in the oven for me. Calvin Harris is playing in the background. There are more doodles to be done.
I've been out on the road again on my bike completing more miles even did a stop off for a sausage sarnie with bonus chips lovely. And readers my thighs know about them miles completed on the bike I'll tell you.
On my travels yesterday I bumped into Rory Bremner, discovered a bookshop that Nigel Havers frequents. The housewives love him. I checked the Whitecube gallery and a host of galleries down cork street. I've got me a brand new flat cap to rock this autumn a new scarf maybe required next. Plus my road bike is mended.
Well readers I've had to take time out to take my road bike to get some new parts fitted. I've took it the the cycling legend Dave Marsh in maltby, south yorkshire. I spotted a photo hanging in the shop of a young Malcolm elliot. Who at 48 years of age was the last British winner of the national tour in 1990 and whose career stretches back to the 1980 Moscow Olympics. He has currently scraped into the top 10 on the current Tour of Britain happening this week. I liked reading that after yesterdays stage Bradley Wiggins donned training kit and rode the 25 miles home to Chorley rather than travelling in the Garmin -slipstream team bus.
Routing through some old sketchbooks this drawing made me smile. So I scanned and drew it again digitally I fell in love with it after drawing it maybe a year or so ago.
I rediscovered this 80s gem its a lego racing car which is part of my collection. I love lego from the 80s. This grainy photo was taken on my mobile phone.
Yesterday I spent some time flicking through magazines they were just filled with the same faces and topics to me. I did manage to clean my bike a little bit.
Here you go readers it had to happen "The Brew Mobile" has arrived in these credit crunch times. scrap your car and trade it in for one of these babies.
Here you go readers something new from me. Looking through the window its looks cooler than yesterday. I bet the folk of doncaster are nursing headaches after yesterdays race meeting.
Well readers if you ever wanted to see a slice of "Booze Britain" in all its glory look no further than visiting Doncaster today as race week reaches its climax with the St leger this afternoon. The people of Donny sup some stuff today thats a fact. And looking out my window the sun is out today so it promises to be a good one. I'm taking it easy today to be honest I didn't feel 100 % well yesterday.
Woke up this morning I feel rubbish got dressed and started sweating then feeling dizzy and faint. I'll be in bed for the rest of today resting up. I just hope it it's not swine flu.
Get renting or buy the dvd "Shifty" with daniel mays, riz ahmed and jason flemyng its a great british film, with a good soundtrack. Shifty is an action packed 24hrs in the life of a young dealer on the outskirts of London.
Well I popped across to Salford very swiftly early doors, on my return to Donny, I'd forgot we'd reached the calendar event that is "Ladies day" for Doncaster Race week. It was too much for this single man it was a sea of legs and cleavage and big hats on my return to the train station, as the ladies were off to the races.
Well i was thinking to myself on the bike I'd have liked to have gone away this year. Maybe todays hot weather has led me to this image. Anyhow I need a cold can of pop today.
Well readers find me in the Guardian tomorrow for my Archie Gemmill illustration for another football outing with a flavour of Scotland. Reet I need something for my headache.
Well readers I'm finding it hard to concentrate today, for whatever reason my head hurts at the back behind my ears. Reet I need summet to eat and a brew at the time of writing.
Its a Sunday evening I've done some miles on the bike running on empty, then sat down and watched some Countryfile on the BBC with a brew, I'm liking Julia Bradbury. Gone are the sunday evenings where I used to enjoy the adventures of Lovejoy; the antiques loveable rogue.
Well I've done some miles on my bike, done a few doodles, drank a few brews and thought a lot. I think Edlington south yorkshire has had some bad press. For the record this chump writing this is a product of Edlington comprehensive school. I know some dam good artists from there, real talent.
Here you go readers I've drawn these two dudes enjoying there afternoon. Reet I need a brew perhaps something to eat to be honest at the time of writing.
last night I had a panic thought I'd lost a sketchbook which is full of strangeness. Thank goodness it was under a pile of clothes and the panic was over. Todays highlight was coffee and a donut and It didn't cost me!. Reet I best crack on with some doodles etc.
Last few days I've seen articles in papers and online about words / phrases used in text and email making it into the dictionary. Got to confess when I first came across the word lol at the end of an email from a fella I did worry a bit. But I laugh out loud when I see it everytime now.
Well readers looking out my window it looks like more rain is on the cards. But thank goodness for sunshine indoors and brews on tap, and the invention that is the biscuit barrel.
Readers this evening I found out I have my illustration up on the Lazy Oaf blog visit http://lazyoaf.co.uk/blog/ find me with eight other including sir Bob London we like his work at Heighton HQ. Reet kettle on. We continue.
I've just read that a place in Doncaster is trying to raise the cash to buy some lions from a zoo in romania. The way things are managed in Donny let alone animal enclosures; one would escape and I'd be confronted by one on a bike ride and have to demonstrate sprinting skills on the bike on par with Mark Cavendish.
