Got It

Yep what a final, once again Doncaster "Donny" is on the map. Earlier my old man heard to old dudes down the paper shop; talking about one half of Two Grand, commenting how he was good on the club circuit years ago. Britain's Got Talent; all I've got is a brew and a grin. Loving the Stavros flatley  act.

Cycling In Wind

Just got back after a short cycle ride in some quite windy conditions. I was gasping for air after that journey. It was a proper sit down affair with a brew for refreshment after that one. Anyhow must crack on with tasks.

Pear Cider

Having seen lots of posters, press ads and indeed reading various reviews, the other night I tried Pear Cider. Whether it was me I just couldn't smell the pears. It was quite a refreshing beverage but I prefer a cup tea. Today I plan to rest my legs after the bank holiday bike riding sessions.

Pink Dude

Here you go there aren't many bonuses this year but here is a bonus wednesday image for my blog. Its very pink I know, I created it whilst having a bonus brew.

Strange Plant

I drew this in my sketchbook the other day every now and again I'll draw strange plants and flowers. Again the rain falls. On my bike ride I spotted  on the roadside a Toy cheetah, I'm wishing now I'd picked it up now to draw it.

The Sun

On A Brew Mission

Just read about a 63 year old boxing legend who is coming out of retirement sounds like the last Rocky movie script. Looking out of the round window yep its still raining. reet kettle on. I shall catch up on the latest in the Katie Price and Pete Andre break up and MP expenses drama.

Whimsical Mode

Well today I've been staring at my screen in a whimsical mode and hey presto I've conjured the above image. Its just been rain showers outside really dark and gloomy at my end. Reet I need a brew.

Small Tasks

Today I've got lots of small tasks to do. I better write me a list. But first kettle on before any tasks begin today.

Blimey Preacher?

Just learnt that leading supermarkets are feeling the original artwork for the manic street preachers new album is inappropriate for displaying on there shelves. The cover is a painting by the talented Jenny Saville. Not Jimmy Saville or the talented Peter Saville. Jenny Saville eh?

Boxfresh!

Well I've got up, its throwing it down with rain outside; so to cheer me up I've opened my new trainer box to smell my new sneaks that I purchased yesterday. I love the smell of boxfresh sneaks in the morning coupled with a brew, your in heaven.

Peacock Doodle

Here you go, there is much I doodle that doesn't get seen I did this earlier before I scoffed a sandwhich. I quite like it for some reason. Plenty of rain at my end this aft.

Ice Cold Ale

Here you go readers, I drew these two fine chap enjoying a fine ale each. I've noticed at one of my local supermarkets the bottled Ale section is multiplying in numbers, the problems of "Booze Britain" continue; but hey I quite like these dudes that I've drawn. A real cross section of social status coming together over a quick light ale, one is discussing the horses, the other is discussing his broom handle and the merits of nasty pasty with brown sauce. Check todays back page of the sports section in the Guardian for my illustration.

Funnier

Ken Dodd has received  word that his Christmas show, which has been a calendar event in Nottingham's seasonal festivities for 55 years, would Not be staged this year. There was a number of complaints he had not been funny enough. Meanwhile across the pond Barack Obama stormed the Whitehouse with a 16 minute set with gags. Personally I found it funny when I saw the news footage of him in the burger bar.

Expenses

No expense rows at my end folks. We continue, kettle on, keep calm, carry on whilst the sun shines I say. hmmmmmmmm. Got any biscuits.

Love Cold Pop

Well it certainly is quite Sunny but breezy outside, weather to enjoy a cold glass of pop whilst on a break from grafting I'm sure. I'm still chuckling from Saturday. Good times.

Cartoons ?

Well readers; I had the best night out in Manchester with my old Salford Uni mates exchanging stories. I can certainly recommend watching cartoon episodes of Batman with a hangover before you tackle a continental breakfast in a Lenny Henry suite. We established at the beginning of the evening that my old mate Bully still has his tackle pierced. Hang on a minute readers, I just asked him out aloud in the Tree of Trust to clarify things amongst the group. Think on; I'm just a cheeky chap from Donny who likes a brew and the ladies.

Manchester Today

Captain Pop

Well readers here is a Lino print I did But in my mind was unsucessful. I need a proper press to do the job reet. I'm kinda happy with the image. Its just printing it that failed.

Banger Count

Readers I'm quite taken when the media do write ups on how many times Gordon Ramsay uses the "F"- word. But after last nights helping of Gok Wan and his style programme I'm quite taken how many times Gok says "Move those Bangers", "Work those bangers" It does make me giggle Gok's use of the word "Bangers", but hey that's just me.

Yep Regret

Must admit I'm regretting the haircut. It was cooler round my ears on my early morning bike ride. Plus some folk pulled faces at the new haircut.hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Major Haircut

Light First Thing

Nowt much to report readers but it sure was lighter this morning out on the bike at daft o'clock when the milkman was doing his rounds. I just looked like the Milk tray man in all black lycra on the bike.
